As part of the dissemination strategy of Inventing Europe, science and technology museums across Europe collaborate with the four funded research teams to produce a virtual exhibition that will be accessible through museum websites and possibly on site in museums. For Inventing Europe this opens the opportunity to reach broader and new audiences. Also innovative ways to communicate research results and novel forms of interaction with non-traditional audiences can be explored. The participating museums provide and build expertise and will be able to demonstrate how their collections can bring to life academic research. A demonstrator will be developed in 2008-2009. If successful this demonstrator could lay the basis for future collaborations associated both within and beyond Inventing Europe and the Tensions of Europe Network, and in the context of the European Scientific Heritage projects.
