Short biography

Hein Brookhuis (1992) obtained his bachelor’s degree at the University for Humanistics and his master’s degree in History & Philosophy of Science at Utrecht University.Since October 2018 he has been involved in the research project on the history of nuclear research in Belgium (KU Leuven and SCK-CEN) as a PhD student. In his research he focusses on changes in the (inter)national research system from the 1980s onwards, and how a research institute such as SCK-CEN has developed during this period of so-called ‘New Big Science’.
